Presented by the American Bar Association Section of Taxation, and the International Fiscal Association with the support of the Dreyer Foundation.
The conference addresses international tax issues for a wide range of practitioners, professionals, and in-house international tax personnel and reviews current tax developments. Case studies will underscore the effect of treaties, court decisions and domestic laws to provide an insight into local planning opportunities for European and U.S. tax professionals.
Panels will be devoted to cross-border mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and restructuring, financing, and transfer pricing. Additional panels will focus on tax planning for corporations affected by the global financial crisis, including restructuring and refinancing debt, unwinding corporate transactions, stock options and employee compensation issues in recessionary times.
