China in international economic dispute resolution is the theme of an international conference gathering a number of international experts. The conference will take place at the University of Copenhagen from 17th to 18th January and will be followed by a special seminar on 19th January especially targeted at professional, legal and business audiences.
At the International Conference entitled “China in International Economic Dispute Resolution”, a number of academics and practitioners provide in-depth analyzes of China’s contemporary policies and involvement in dispute resolution within trade, investment and energy and commercial arbitration.
Special seminar
At the special seminar, “China in International Economic Law: New Horizons”, international experts focus on the recent developments in China within international economic law. The special seminar is organized as a round table discussion and is among others targetted at legal and business audiences.
The conference and the special seminar has been arranged by the Center of Excellence for International Courts (iCourts), the Center for Public Regulation and Administration (CORA), Renmin University, Beijing; ThinkChina.dk. The project has been supported by the Dreyer Foundation.
The purpose of the conference and the special seminar is to invite academics and practitioners to explore China’s role in international economic conflicts and to create a platform of knowledge of direct use for Danish and international lawyers and businesses.
Research from the conference will subsequently be published in Transnational Dispute Management Journal.
